Why Unburdened?
Unburdened exists to make life easier for financial planning businesses. We provide compliance support and training designed to help you focus on what you do best: serving your clients with confidence and integrity.
The name Unburdened was inspired by conversations with financial planners about the weight of responsibility that comes with running an advisory business. At times, it can feel like carrying the world on your shoulders, like Atlas in the Greek myth.
Working with Unburdened means sharing that load. Our logo, a rucksack, symbolises this idea. We help you carry the essentials, lighten the weight, and keep you moving forward. It also reflects our flexibility because we can work from anywhere, just as you can.

An Unburdened Journey
Every client’s journey with Unburdened is unique because every business carries different burdens.
We offer an ongoing support service that helps relieve some of the challenges of running an advisory business in the UK market. Most often, this means helping you stay on top of your regulatory compliance responsibilities.
Not all clients need us on a regular basis. Sometimes our support is required for a specific project, such as carrying out due diligence or assisting with the design and implementation of a change in business processes.
For other clients, working with Unburdened is about helping your team reach its full potential. This might involve carefully curated training sessions, critical examination of their work, or one-to-one coaching and exam support.
Our Values
Honesty
We want to build lasting relationships with our clients. This means being open and honest with you, whether that is reporting back the results of a file check or in setting clear expectations for the work you require from us.
Competency
Our support for education is not confined to those we work with and we will always strive to improve our understanding. Sometimes this means accepting that there are areas where we aren't the best person to help you (like Defined Benefit Pension Transfers).
Passion
We believe in the power of financial planning to help people and the importance of sustainable, ethical and values-driven advice. We want to see financial planning grow into a successful profession.
The Team
We are here to help you succeed. At Unburdened, we are passionate about the power of good financial planning and committed to supporting you every step of the way.
Our team brings together a wealth of experience across compliance, learning and development, combining technical expertise with a genuine focus on outcomes.
We work collaboratively to help you deliver the results your clients expect with integrity and confidence.
